B.C. artists have designed shirts and hoodies for purchase with funds going to raise awareness about bats, help coordinate annual counts, and monitor for White-nose Syndrome.

The Community Bat Programs of BC have taken flight with a fundraiser supporting bat conservation.

B.C. artists have designed shirts and hoodies for purchase with funds going to raise awareness about bats, help coordinate annual counts, and monitor for White-nose Syndrome.

“Bats usually have a bad reputation, but all 15 species of bats found in B.C. are important in our environment,” said Paula Rodriguez de la Vega, BC Community Bat Program coordinator. “They are considered wildlife and are protected under the BC Wildlife Act.”

Clothing options include a t-shirt, long-sleeved shirt, and a hoodie.  The artists who created the designs are Megan Olson from Vernon, Jamie Minnie from Vancouver, and Aysha McConkey from Chilliwack.
