Jam Can curls to 45th anniversary

One hundred and twenty-four students from Sorrento, Sicamous and Salmon Arm schools participated in the annual Jam Can Curling event April 12 to 14.

“The children all seemed to have a great time and I believe the parents and grandparents also enjoyed themselves,” said Lions Club president John Lund. “The Lions Club of Salmon Arm enjoyed being able to sponsor this event for the 45th year.”

Results were as follows:

• Jr. A – 1st Sean Steadman rink, 2nd Leyton Boyd rink, 3rd Cole Menzies rink, 4th Tyrese Roy rink.

• Jr. B – 1st Justin Schielke rink, 2nd Ben Bannister rink, 3rd Zachary Heinzig rink.

• Jr. C – 1st Brienna Howard rink, 2nd Kristen Stunzi rink, 3rd Natasha Kociuba rink.

• Intermediate A –1st Melanie Denault rink, 2nd Levi Byers rink, 3rd Gage Oddy rink, 4th Daniel Wyss rink.

• Intermediate B – 1st Atira Sherman rink, 2nd Jaden Greencorn rink, 3rd Michelle Fassbender rink, 4th Logan Ferguson rink.

• Senior A – 1st Curtis Bannister rink, 2nd Mikaela Paetsch rink, 3rd Benjamin Navakowski rink, 4th Tristen Fortes rink.
